Identity is such a messed up business really, I mean, are we all unique? I'm pretty sure there's another left-handed short guy who loves Definitely Maybe as much as I do somewhere in Uganda but is that what defines me? Being short, left-handed and a passion for romantic comedies?
Are we not mere compilations of the personalities of our friends who we tend to become more like when we hang out more with them, along with genetic features? How do you tell when you are being..you? How do you live for yourself? This is why thinking is bad.
I WANT TO KNOW WHO I AM. Dang.
Oh and by the way here's an amazing song from Adventureland:
And a random song that's pretty nice:

i'm pretty sure we're all unique, but not so much according to what we're like, but what we like, and who we like/love.
there was this quote about being a combined effort of everyone you know, but i forgot who said it.
You'll understand when you're older.
true, we are all affected by everyone and everything, but we can choose to either cancel out or embrace these influences. At the end of the day, you are who you choose to be, subconsciously or otherwise.
As for how to tell when you're being 'you', that's a tough one. I think that the times when we're truly being who we are (at that point in time) is when we're ridiculously happy and let our guards down, or when we're ridiculously depressed, when we don't even bother to make the effort to be anything other than we're not. Lolidunno. that's just my opinion.
Fokin praun!
