I just remembered I have a blog. So anyway, nothing much new, gonna head to church camp for the holidays!
Anyway, here's an interesting footy match that I just found today- Barbados vs. Grenada in 1994. In the group stages, there are no draws, and games ending in draws are brought into extra time where a golden goal rule decides the winner. Strangely, the golden goal counts for 2 (idiotic move by the organizers). So heres the scenario-Barbados need to win by a 2 goal margin to advance.
During the match, all of it's going swimmingly for Barbados, 2-0 up. Suddenly Grenada snatch one back in the 83rd minute. With only 7 minutes remaining, Barbados need to get another goal to advance- the Grenadan players solely focused on defensive duties now. Realizing that Barbados are never going to score, a Barbado(n?) player scores an own goal to bring the game into extra time (giving them the option of scoring a golden goal, giving them that 2 goal advantage they need to advance). All the players on the pitch were confused, but soon caught on. The Grenadan players tried to do the same, either scoring a goal to bring it to 2-3 to Grenada or score an own goal to lose by only 1 goal, 3-2, meaning they still progress. The hilarious part comes now; the Barbado(n) players rush to BOTH goals, trying to stop the Grenadan players from scoring an own/goal. HILARIOUS SHIT.
The worst part is that Barbados managed to score a goal in extra time giving them the required 4-2 win to advance. LOL.

Who Am I
Identity is such a messed up business really, I mean, are we all unique? I'm pretty sure there's another left-handed short guy who loves Definitely Maybe as much as I do somewhere in Uganda but is that what defines me? Being short, left-handed and a passion for romantic comedies?
Are we not mere compilations of the personalities of our friends who we tend to become more like when we hang out more with them, along with genetic features? How do you tell when you are being..you? How do you live for yourself? This is why thinking is bad.

Definitely a maybe

I'm pretty sure that 'In Bruges' is one of my all-time favourite movies to watch, because the guns and swearing are crude and violent, but literary and philisophical at the same time-more so the killers than the swearing though. Goal!
The day has been rather u shaped; grabbing Verdasco's autograph and Chelsea winning 2-0 have been the highlights of what should've been a spectacular day. What a shame.

Drugged
What an exhausting day. Being slipped something by a waitress led to a series of painful events; dying in biology (missionary positions), crawling to my locker and having to play mini-tennis with Edwin. TIRED LA WEI.
Ironically, it was a drug that made me feel all well again; PANADOL PANADOL I love you. My next post will probably be 'Ode To Panadol'.

Shaking Hands With A Whale
The weekend nears! It's been a rather horrible week, being burdened by homework. If not for my new laptop (yea, suck that), FIFA Online 2, and my friends (who like shaking hands with various animals), I would be lying in some ditch now. The daunting aspect of having to apply for university in only 365 more days is rather..daunting (haheyhaheyhahey). Well, i've only got 51 more weeks of this crap.

Gone
Alas, a month of pointless, silly, immature yet fun trivialities has passed, and it is time for them to go home and us to go back to school. However depressing this short void of loneliness may be, I'm sure I'll get over it once the hustle and bustle of doing homework and studying begins in what seems to be a new chapter in my life (college la dude). The house does seem somewhat empty and much quieter with only 3 people in the house, but I will be glad to step back into a routine I'm familiar with. All the surprises, fun and gifts have been great, but all good things must come to an end. Like this post (HAHAhaha..)
